Hair Loss
Hair loss is a common phenomenon that can be temporary or chronic. Causes are diverse — from stress and poor nutrition to hormonal changes and genetic predisposition.
Hair becomes thinner, loses density and volume, and the growth of new hair slows down. On oily scalps, hair loss is often accompanied by loss of volume at the roots, while on dry scalps, breakage and thinning along the hair shaft are more common.
The visual and physical effects of hair loss occur through several mechanisms: the hair shaft undergoes miniaturization and becomes thinner, leading to a gradual loss of density and overall volume. Simultaneously, the growth rate of new hair significantly slows.
The way hair loss manifests also depends on the scalp condition: on an oily scalp, hair loss is often accompanied by loss of volume at the roots due to sebum accumulation around the follicle. On dry or sensitive scalps, increased hair breakage and thinning along the shaft are more common, due to lack of elasticity and insufficient nourishment.
Targeted treatment requires addressing this complex system.
Signs of the Problem
- Increased hair shedding (on the brush, pillow, or shower drain) for more than 3 months
- Decreased hair density and volume
- Slowed growth of new hair
- Hair shaft breakage and thinning
- Weak hair without shine along the entire length
